Soma Bay
Soma Bay is located just 45 Km south of Hurghada and its international airport. It is an all-year around destination built on a unique 10 million square metre peninsula surrounded by the azure waters of the Red Sea. A visit to Soma Bay offers much more than a single hotel experience, it offers a complete holiday destination. An extended coral reef on two sides of the Peninsula and sheltered waters on the third, provide ideal conditions for a wide range of aquatic sports including diving, snorkeling, sailing and deep-sea sports-fishing. The Cascades Golf and Country Club provides a sporting and social focal point for the Peninsula. The stunning links-style golf course is a 72-par, 18-hole Gary Player design. The Cascades also features a thalasso-therapy health and personal care centre. Among the real draw-cards at Soma Bay is the marina complex. This incorporates the yacht club and marina, as well as a residential, shopping and recreational centre, all in a small port-town atmosphere. A unique feature at Soma Bay is the several kilometres of promenades that thread through the site, some right on the beachfront, others alongside the golf course. Used by pedestrians, joggers, cyclists and individual golf carts, or by Soma Bay?s resort train shuttle, the promenades are a continuous link covering the entire site.
